“It’s been a long time since I’ve done a show in New York. It was very important for me to do this show at The Apollo Theatre as it is one of the most iconic places in African-American history. The Apollo has played host to some of the greats such as Ella Fitzgerald, Duke Ellington, James Brown, Billie Holiday, Sammy Davis, amongst others. It’s a great honour for me to share the stage with such legends.”
